ROAD WAR III

First Run in 1998, the Baxter Road War is quickly becoming one of the major events on the Bowdoin calendar. Mike Prendergast, then the President of Baxter House, conceived the race, and mapped out a one mile loop on the streets of Brunswick. This criterium race attracted over thirty riders (of all ages and abilities) to its third and most recent running, not to mention the numerous students who stumbled from their beds to watch the Warriors tackle the 30 mile challenge. After a hard day of racing, most particpants took home a prize; but the biggest winner was the official charity, The United Way. Thanks again to the riders, sponsors and spectators!

Road War IV is tentatively scheduled to take place in late April, 2001, and we are seeking both riders and sponsors. Interested? Contact Will LoVerme via email, or call him at (207) 721-5XXX

Baxter Members, get fired up for this big event! We're gonna need lots of help to make it a success.
More details will follow soon!!!!!
